  • Are you insured?
Yes. Stablecroft Dog Care Services is insured professionally with specialist animal trade insurers. Our insurance covers public liability; day care, custody, control and transportation of your dog; loss of keys and boarding.
  • Are you licensed?
Yes! We are licenenced for all services under The Animal Welfare Regulations 2018. We achieved a five star licence in both day care and boarding.
  • Can I meet the team and see the facilities before sending my dog?
Yes. We recommend you do this! Come and see the place in action and at the busiest time of the day. Meet the team, ask questions, see exactly where your dog will spend their day, who they’ll be with, and what they’ll be doing. We’re confident you will be impressed! Simply drop us an email to get booked in.
  • What happens if my dog doesn’t get on with another dog?
Stablecroft Dog Care Services is extremely strict in only accepting social dogs. This ensures all of the dogs are happy in one another’s company, so it is unlikely your dog will not get on with another dog. In fact, the dogs usually form their own social groups with dogs at the Day Care Centre who enjoy similar activities!
  • Do Stablecroft offer a pick-up and drop-off service?
We don't. We're very conveniently located just off the Reading Road which connects us nicely to the surrounding area.
  • Will my dog be supervised at all times?
Yes. Your dog will be under constant supervision by our team of experienced doggy supervisors at Stablecroft, and will NEVER be left unattended. Only whilst in their own secure resting area.
  • What happens when it rains or is too cold for my dog to be outside?
We have plenty of indoor space in our converted stables and the bunglaow. You dog will have a choice of comfy dog beds if they would like to escape the weather or have a snooze. The dogs have constant access to the building, so they can use it whenever they like!
  • What training methods are used at Stablecroft?
We train our dogs like our own. With love and respect. We use pure positive methods to show a dog what it is we want them to do rather then punishing them or applying pressure when they behave . We beleive this leads to a break down in the relationship, distrust towards the trainer and most likely confusion as to what to do. We're certainly firm beleivers in calm and strong leadership but love, respect and trust are the foundations for sucessful training.
  • My dog is scared of being groomed, can you help?
Charlotte who runs her own grooming service from Stablecroft is excellent, and will take the time out of her busy day to befriend a dog in our day care that will attend the salon in the future.
  • Do my dogs require vaccinations to attend Stablecroft?
For day care & boarding your dog(s) will require their typical DHP, Lepto & Kennel Cough Vaccination. We will accept a recent titre test as proof your dogs are immunised. We also require your dogs to be up to date with their flea and worming.
